closing only this old blog not my current website on WordPress

I want to close an old blog that I no longer use. I transferred everything from here to the new blog on my website several years ago. I just want to make sure that in closing this I don’t inadvertently close the website. How can I do make sure of this? Thanks.

Hi @acerobb , could you confirm which site you’d like to close?
If it’s a free site here and you want to be extra careful, you could simply make the site private instead at https://wordpress.com/settings and leave it that way for a while. If your site remains unaffected, you can go ahead and delete it permanently. Just know you won’t be able to use the same address again later: it will be permanently deactivated.

Hi, it’s emmacampion.wordpress.com, so, yes, it’s a free site. My website is http://www.candacerobbbooks.com, for which I pay. Thanks for the idea of just making the free one private. When you say “if your site remains unaffected,” what do you mean? Thanks!

Thanks for confirming! The candacerobbbooks.com site plan and content are tied to candacerobbbooks.wordpress.com, which is associated with a different WordPress.com user account than the one you’re currently logged into. Therefore you can delete ecampion.wordpress.com without affecting that other site.
