Closing page password

Is there any way of closing a passworded ‘Members Only’ page (ie going back outside the password) once it open on a given computer/browser. I would like to do this as my computer can be used by a number of Non-Members.

WordPress will prompt you for the password on your initial visit to a protected page. After entering the password that first time, we’ll securely store the password with the browser you viewed it with so you won’t have to enter it again.

So, log out of WordPress.com and clear your browser’s cache and cookies and then close your browser.

Jen – interesting – after all the thing about BIG & LONG passwords, two step log in – WordPress.COM leaves a back door in place requiring a three step shuffle to close – sorry but I find it amusing

    thanks for the research

Thanks to you both. I have tried the solution and it works of course but as auxclass says it is strange to leave a secure area open just to save a small amount of user inconvenience especially when many computers are used by multiple users – think schools, libraries etc.
Anyway thanks to you both for your help posts. Once I get a little more knowledge I will launch into a proper blog. I’ve now gone from Learner to Provisional driver.
