I am getting ready to close this blog permanently. I want to make sure it doesn’t affect my other blog in any way as they are kind of linked.

Hi there,
What is the URL of the other blog you are referencing? Is it https://lifeongoosecreek.com/? If so, the closing of gcfreetrade.com will not affect https://lifeongoosecreek.com/ in any way. However, gcfreetrade.com is the only site under your account, and I want to confirm the other site and how it is to gcfreetrade.com linked before confirming that there would be no effect.
Let me know, thanks! -
Thanks for responding so quickly!
gcfreetrade is the one I want to close. When I set it up, I intended for it to be totally independent, but it was always accessible from my first blog’s lifeongoosecreek dashboard (not vise versa though, when logged in to gcfreetrade I have no access to lifeongoosecreek). That’s why I wanted to make sure that closing gcfreetrade wouldn’t affect the original blog.
Regards,
Phil

WordPress will not allow me to close gcfreetrade.com
Whenever I try, I get a message that says “You have active paid upgrades on your site. Please cancel your upgrades prior to deleting your site.” But I don’t have any upgrades. When I follow the link to manage upgrades, there is nothing to cancel and I cannot delete the site.
Please advise.

Hi Phil,
The issue you’re encountering happens because the site and its upgrades are associated with a different account than the one you’re currently logged in with. To resolve this, you’ll need to log in to the account that actually owns that site and its upgrades.
If you’re having trouble remembering the login credentials for that other account, we have an Account Recovery guide that can assist you in regaining access. You can find the guide here: https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
I hope this information is helpful. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to reach out. We’re here to help.
