closing wordpress website

  I have an old wordpress website which is no longer in use but I can’t seem to shut it down and am getting a lot of spam emails through the contact email. How can I permanently close the site? It was called Natalie Ashbee Gardens.
  I want to keep my wordpress blog site open but not the website.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi Natalie,

  I presume your other website is powered by WordPress.com and has a different URL than the blog you listed in your message, is that correct?

  If you want to close your website but not delete it, you can set it as private, so nobody can access it and therefore send spam emails to you.
  Go to Dashboard>Settings>Reading> and then on Site Visibility check I would like my site to be private, visible only to myself and users I choose.

  Here is a step by step guide to deleting/closing your wordpress website/account:

  Delete a Website
