CNAME, A or nameserver?

  Hi, I have just migrate my domain to a new registrar with the purpose to resolve my problem about outgoing mail with the SMTP of the new registrar. But don’t work.

  Before (with the old registrar) I had to change nameserver (with nsx.wordpress.com) but then outgoing mails didn’t work. So I have began using Gmail smtp with my personal account. But this method created a problem: who received my email saw the account info of gmail instead of my domain mail recipients.

  The new registrar said me if I change nameserver my mail cannot work, so suggest me get A record from wp.com.
  But visiting forum I notice that A record is related to IP addresses that change often and suggest me to use a wp.com CNAME record for my new registrar.

  It’s true? If I provide wp.com CNAME record to my new registrar works well my blog and my mail?

  Which is the correct CNAME record I can provide to my registrar?

  I’ve notice a new instruction on my map domain service that link to this topic.

  You suggest me changing nameserver to wordpress.com.
  Despite my new registrar told me cannot work mail if I change nameserver, I forward your suggestion and wait for their answer.

  About MX record is not correct. Register.it is the old registrar and cannot work, the new one (where my mail domain is located just now) is aruba.it.

  I received the answer from my registrar, I translate it from Italian.

  They confirm that if I change nameservers the mail will stop working.

  According to wp.com I have to change name server but mail will stop working.
  According to aruba.it (registrar) I have to change A record to wp.com (the current status), but my website can go off in any moment.

  So my situation is to have a website that work correctly but without mail, or using mail but with the possibility my website disappear from web.

  I think is not normal.

  I report that to aruba.it and they suggest me a solution: changing CNAME record to wp.com, and tell me to ask you a CNAME record to install in aruba.it server.

  Can you write me down the correct CNAME record so I provide it to the registrar?
