I am looking to point our custom domain to Squarespace 6 host. It looks like i need to edit CNAME and A Record…Can you tell me how to do this, do it for me or recommend another way? Our site is meta21st.com.
What I know of squarespace is 65.39.205.57
Record Type: CNAME Current Value: meta21st.com Correct Value: http://www.squarespace6.com

Hello, Happiness Engineers? any advice on how to fix this? :(

  • I have made those changes and I am now seeing meta21st.com point correctly to your Squarespace site.

It can take 24-48 hours for domain/DNS changes to propagate throughout the internet. It typically happens faster than that, but it really depends on your ISPs update frequency. If you are still not seeing the correct site appear after 48 hours has elapsed, please contact me again.

Also, do let me know if you have further questions or if anything is unclear.

Thanks for making that change. How does this affect our domain email? Also I did not hear back from wordpress initially so I paid for hosting with an alternate provider. I did not get an email authorization code back from the DNS dashboard all though I requested it on the 26th. I don’t mind keeping wordpress as domain name holder now that it is aimed correctly but I am afraid this about to get (email visible only to moderators and staff).

I am getting error message 550 #5.1.0 Address rejected. Can you fix that by the creating a mail.domain.com and point the MX records to that?

  • First off, you should decide if you are going to keep your site at WordPress.com or use your new webhost, as there is no reason to set up email here only to have to move it again.

    Here are our email instructions:

Take a look through that page and let me know if you have any further questions. I’ll be happy to help.
