CNAME & other questions

What is my blog CNAME?
I have waltarina.wordpress.com, and I paid today 13$ for new domain, waltarina.com (which I already own).
I have changed nameservers at hostex.lt to ns1.wordpress.com, ns2.wordpress.com, ns3.wordpress.com and ns4.wordpress.com (I did try leaving ns4.hostex.lt also as you mention only 3 ns’).I have tried for three hours to find the CNAME of my blog, without any luck. However, my DNS zone records ask for CNAME. I have tried “waltarina.wordpress.com” without success.
What is my blog CNAME?
Is there something else I have not understand correctly / not doing correctly / you are not telling on your support pages?

Looks like your domain is not pointing to WordPress.com name servers yet. Please go to your domain registrar’s site and log into the control panel. You will need to update the name servers as below:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMFor more information, please visit the help documentation provided by the registrar and our support page:

Thanks, but as I already told you, I have set the ns’ as advised.
Please read my question again?1. What to do with NS4?
2. What to set for CNAME? -
You should be able to leave the NS4 record field empty. Also, there’s no need to set a CNAME record.
Please note that it might take 24-48 hours before the NS records are fully propagated.

This helps a little forward, but I am still walking blind.
Does the 24-48h waiting concern your service particulary – when I set up my photodeck site the changes were immediate between photodeck and hostex.
Kind of odd to wait two days before I can check if my config is correct… -
No, not us specifically.
When a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take about 48 hours (though usually much less). During that time, you may also receive a warning message in your browser about “redirect errors”. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your internet service provider updates their records. Please rest assured that everything is proceeding normally with your domain.

I forwarded your instructions to my regitrar and they did something better than what I could. The address became active immediately.
So I am ok now. Thanks. -
I’m glad to hear you’re all set.
Don’t hesitate to contact us again if you need anymore help. :-)
