My email was hacked and my service provider is asking me to add a CNAME record in my DNS, I have reached my DNS records and currently trying to a add a CNAME record, there are two empty brackets one of this is an alias, but I do not know what kind of information should I fill in those brackets to get a CNAME record?

Hello there, Hussein,
Sorry to hear about your email inconvenience. I’m happy to help.
Could you please tell me the entire CNAME given to you by your service provider?
As long as you entered exactly what your provider told you, you are all set. The record saved correctly…but it can take up to 72-hours for the changes to your DNS to appear properly online.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

Dear Thatrobyn,
Thanks a lot for your quick response.
I have figured it out and entered the record that they gave me and surprisingly got access back instantly rather than waiting.
Thanks a lot for your time and efforts. much appreciated.

Hi again!
Oh terrific. Nicely done :)
I’m glad that’s ironed out, and you were able to tighten up your email security!
Wishing you all the best. Cheers!

I actually learnt a lot throughout the process, bad things happen for a reason, in this case, I learnt a thing or two lol!
wish you a pleasant day/night.
