CNAMEs for Mapped Domain won't redirect for Google Apps

    Before mapping the wordpress.com site, I had setup Google Apps for email etc through GoDaddy. After paying for the Domain Mapping at WordPress.com and changing the nameservers at GoDaddy, my email no longer worked. Following instructions, I resetup the MX records through the DNS manager within the WordPress.com site.

    However, I also want to use webmail.skinretreatbytrish.com to access my email, rather than the long URL that Google Apps provides by default.

    I try adding the CNAME record to WordPress.com account:

    CNAME webmail ghs.google.com.

    However, when I go to webmail.skinretreatbytrish.com, it just continues to redirect to skinretreatbytrish! Why is it not recognizing the CNAME record? Is there other stuff I have to change at GoDaddy?
