Hi there,

When I embed this audio code,

It is striped from my page. I have also tried using the WordPress and Soundcloud as an audio host, but the ‘audio player’ does not work to play back the audio

Sadly it got stripped here, too. Can you share it again, but this time use the “code” button to wrap it in backticks so we can see it?

Can you possibly take a screenshot of the code and upload it to your media library. From there we can access the image and take a look.

Hi there,

Thanks for the upload. That’s an iframe and iframes are not supported on WordPress.com for security reasons, so if you put the iframe on your post/page, only an hyperlink will be displayed – that is why the code is being stripped wherever you post it.

So you uploaded the audio to other players like Soundcloud, but it wouldn’t playback?

Hi Anna, are you able to link to the file so that the link ends with one of the extensions listed here?

mp3, .m4a, .ogg, or .wav

Some services, like Google Drive, might not show the extension. If you’re going to use one of those, be sure it’s a supported audio player, like SoundCloud or Audiomack player.

I suspect that’s what’s causing the issue.
