WordPress.com doesn’t allow blog owners to add code such as PHP or Javascript or modify underlying theme code.
See these related pages for details:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/It is possible to purchase the Custom Design upgrade that will allow you to modify the appearance of a theme though:
https://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/custom-design/Let me know if you have any questions about Custom Design or maybe post about your end goal in case there’s a different solution that will get you the result you want without needing to add code.

Thank you for the advice. However I failed to be more specific (sorry). I have PayPal code for a button that has drop down options. I normally choose the ’email’ short link and just attach it to the button image but it didn’t give me that option. It just gave me a lot of ‘website’ code — and I don’t know what to do with it.
Thank you for your time and help, you are a cyber angel :)

Custom form elements are not permitted. You should be able to see form codes in the list of HTML tags that are not allowed in the link I sent you earlier:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/#html-tagsThe plain link or button image code is what you need from PayPal. Try running through the steps again to see if you can get the link or button code to generate without the extra drop down options.
