  I want to change colors and fonts of [code] tags

  You can do this with custom CSS but for that you need to be on either the premium or business plan.

  The syntax highlighter tool that the [code] shortcode is based on does contain other styles, you can preview the styles and have a look at the default CSS on the creator's GitHub here.
