Code for changing just post text color

Please help me. I’ve been pulling my hair out over a week trying to do this on my own. I admit the css code has won. Now someone help me please! I just want to change the color of the font in my posts to a dark grey or black for easier read. I can not figure out what to change. I have tried changing body and of course that changes all my font, which I don’t want. I’m doing self taught and any help is appreciated.

Here’s the code you need:
.content{color: black;}If you ever use headings in your posts and you want those to remain in your theme colors, do this instead:
.content p{color: black;}Also, just as a heads up, this is a support forum for sites hosted on WordPress.COM, so generally speaking we only support sites hosted here.

oh my. thank you thank you thank you. that worked.
also, i do have a wordpress.com blog we are switching it to self hosted, but for whatever reason i can not access the .org forums i got a password, it didnt work, so i asked for a new password, and it didnt work. this was my only option.

@motherofchaos3, it might be worth it to create a new username and password at .org and then you can post about the problem on the forums there and hopefully get your existing account straightened out.
