Code for custom follow button?
-
I’ve added custom social media icons to my blog (Facebook, RSS, email). I’d like to use a custom WordPress icon as well, however I am at a loss as to the coding I’d use. Specifically, when a user clicks on the WP icon, i’m going for the “follow this blog” feature. Hope this makes sense.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
The Follow feature needs to run a script in order to function properly. Script is one of several types of embed code that we don’t allow on WordPress.com for security reasons. You can read more about the code we do and don’t allow here:
We do have a couple of options for Follow buttons:
There are some follow options built into your site already. Anyone who is logged into a WordPress.com account will see this Follow button at the top of your site:
Anyone who is not logged into a WordPress.com account will see this at the bottom of their browser window when visiting your site:

In addition, we have two widgets that you can add to give your readers easy ways to follow your blog.
1. The Follow Blog widget adds a box where viewers can subscribe to your site via email.
2. The Follow Button widget adds a button that WordPress.com users can click to follow your site.
The email options will not require your followers to create a WordPress.com account. However, they will need to confirm that their subscription by clicking a link in a confirmation email from WordPress.com.
Let me know if I can help with anything else!
