Code for images changed in Garland theme

  Recently things changed in my Garland theme, due to the fact that images are now added with Css code I am no longer able to add hspace making the article not nice to read,
  Please tell me I can still add this, and if so what’s the keyword, if not, are there other free themes taht will allow me to do this?
