Code for multiple blog posts

Okay I understand the difference between a post and page. Pages don’t update and change, posts do. Got it. What I don’t get is how to code what I need, or change my settings so that I can have multiple posts. I keep reading that you can’t but I know you can because I have seen it on tons of wordpress sites such as http://salcincotta.com/
Sal has the blog page which shows all the blogs, then he has a drop down and when someone selects weddings it takes guests to a page with just his blog posts. How in the world is this done? Please don’t just link me to the support pages about posts and pages I have read them and I am not understanding.

Have you gone through http://learn.wordpress.com yet? Make more posts. They’ll all show up on your Posts page. You can have as many multiples as you want: I think i have five thousand posts.
There is only one Posts page, though. You can use a custom menu to link your tabbed header to Category pages, but you still only have one blog post page.

Firstly that blog you’ve linked to isn’t actually a WordPress.com blog, it’s a self hosted WordPress.ORG blog, so things work differently, they have more control with their blog.

Secondly, you can have millions of posts that will automatically appear on your home page, all you have to do is publish them and you’ll see (if they don’t appear chances are you’ve got it set to a static page, change that in appearance-> customise -front page).
You use appearance -> menus to create a custom menu where you can have links to different categories of posts, and pages (which usually come up automatically in the default menu). If you want the blog to be in a different page and not the front page you change the settings (follow these instructions even though they say they’re for a book http://en.support.wordpress.com/write-a-book/ )
So far you have no content, I suggest you go through http://learn.wordpress.com/ that’s what it’s there for, and start posting stuff, you learn way more through experience, and Trudi and error. We all started out once, and if you have more questions feel free to ask, but know that most questions can be answered by the support documents and a quick search through tyre forums, most questions have been asked before.

Thank you for the help. I will have to get a self hosted wordpress then. I have gone through and posted content on wordpress and created several blogs with it but keep scraping them because I couldn’t figure out this one little feature that I really want. I was hoping there was a way to do it without having to pay someone to code the whole site for me. The rest of the features I have been able to work with its just the blog issue.
