  I must be doing something wrong here, this is the code I have come up with but it isnt working. My skype name is experiencenl

  what do I need to put in my widget footer so that my skype icon is enabled

  We cannot use an JavaScript code on WordPress.COM hosted blogs for security reasons. What you want to do cannot be done.
