Of course, I’ve replaced the chevrons with square brackets in order to be able to show you the code.
Will you advise (1) why I can’t put this into a text widget, and (2) once you’ve done so, let me know if there’s any clock I CAN use?
Please? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

a) We’re not allowed to use iframe codes.
b) Lots of them. See my relevant posts: -
I’ve already tried several of these, Panos – the code won’t stick in the text widget. :-(

I’m not being specific- sorry!
I didn’t like any of the clocks on pps 2 or 3 because they’re animated; and page 4 has that same malware warning, so I went to p. 5 and tried some of the analog clocks there … Hang on:

there’s one that won’t work: when you paste the code in it just rearranges itself to be about 1 third. -
So what’s preventing you from trying the page labelled “analog clocks?” http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/08/16/widgets-for-wpcom-3-analog-clocks/

I just want a clock: I don’t want anything else to be moving.
I’d prefer there not to be a sweep hand, but I’ll live with one. -
Don’t copy the code on the site page; copy the code on the wpbtips.wordpress.com page. It has been adapted to work here. As you have seen, raw flash does not.
-
If it’s not animated, how is it going to tell time?
Love you, rain!
@MRS: Malware? My blog page? That’s a nice one too!
Anyway, you found this:
http://flash-clocks.com/documents/analog-flash-clock-page1.html
It’s got seven pages of clocks. Which one do you like? -
Sorry … I’m not with you. Oh, you’re referring to that “transform to shortcode”.
Crikey! – I bloody did it!
Thanks heaps, fellers! – now I have only to reduce it in size, and Bob’s my uncle.
GOODONYER BOTH! -
Yes, Panos – there is indeed a malware warning on that home page and on p. 4 of the list as quoted.
You can laugh yourself sick, but I get no other result. -
Will one of you please advise me how to center the clock?
My widgets sidebar already has a centring code in the CSS, but it doesn’t seem functioning, here … -
Before you bother centering the clock, you should know that these clocks don’t display your local time, they display the visitor’s local time. If you want “Sydney time”, you need to find a flash-based clock widget that allows you to set the time for a specific time zone or city.
