ALL the information I find anywhere tells me to go to the plugins menu to install a plugin (and that includes documentation on WordPress Org)!! That functionality apparently no longer exists!!
I just want to be able to make sure the formatting of code i copy out of SSMS is preserved. It would be nice to provide a simple way for viewers to copy it.
This can’t be that difficult. I’ve seen it on others’ sites.
Please help. I’ve spent DAYS over the last year trying to get this to work. I’d really like to be able to post to my blog.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There has never been blogger installed plugin capability on WordPress.COM blogs. Stop reading stuff that applies only to WordPress.ORG software installs please. The only relevant support docs for WordPress.COM hosted blogs is at http://support.wordpress.com.
Plugin installation possible only if you hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up a WordPress.ORG install. http://wordpress.org
There is no FTP access to WordPress.COM blogs and we bloggers cannot install any plugins or third party themes.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/There is no other upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.
WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, conduct ecommerce and edit the database.

Thank you SO much for explaining that to me.
Wow.Holy waste of time, Batman. I can’t believe I’ve spent the last year trying to figure this out and not noticed the difference between .COM and .ORG.
Now I have to figure out my next steps. Sounds like there is no way around paying someone. :(
