Code missing on home page??

    I am currently working on a website for a client and have built a home page as well as a services page so far. However I needed to edit the heading and navigation bar on my home page but when I go to the editing screen all of my work is reduced to the most simple of code but when I go to preview the page its just as I remember making it.
    Because of this I am unable to edit my clients website and was hoping to get some insight on the situation???

    Hi there
    What theme are you using?
    Published pages and editing pages don’t look the same. It’s always a good idea to have both open while your work on them, so you can check changes.
    But also, it seems your are editing a paragraph block and not the header.
    What theme are you using?
    Would love to help with the step by step.
