Code to remove/amend "Thoughts on…" tag for Comments and for widening Comments

    Hi again.

    <p style=”text-align:justify;”>I would be very grateful if somebody could let me know how I am able to:</p>

    <p style=”text-align:justify;”>1) Customize Comments appearing at the bottom of my Posts, specifically so that I can increase the width to match that of my Post content. I have tried various combinations of .comment with e.g. margin-right, float and width, though at whatever value I set these parameters I do not seem to able to increase the width beyond a set limit.</p>

    <p style=”text-align:justify;”>2) Customize the “Thoughts On…” box which appears with Comments below Posts, specifically to amend the displayed text.</p>

    Many thanks in advance.

    Regards

    Try this and let me know if you come across any issues:

    ol.commentlist {width:100%;}
    .comment-block {width:85%;}

    Nice blog too, I spend a lot of my day job solving problems in excel – I’ll have to check out some of your challenges!

    Add this to make the nav section the same width too:

    .site-content .site-navigation {width:100%; margin-left:0;}

    Excellent! Thanks!

    Any thoughts on how I can edit that “Thoughts On…” box?

    There’s an example at the bottom here:

    And glad you like the site! And since you’re helping me here, the least I can do is to let you know you can contact me, either at the blog address or on one of the Forum’s I regularly contribute to (given in the Links) if you have any Excel-related questions.

    Cheers

    Here it is (and thanks!):

    .comments-title {width:100%;}

    Great, thanks.

    Just out of interest, could I change the actual text displayed here as well if I wanted to?

    There isn’t a reliable way to do it with CSS and I don’t know of any themes that give you that level of customisation in the theme options.

    Ok, thanks. Was just an idea, but actually now that you’ve helped me increase the width it doesn’t look any near as obtrusive, so I can live with that.

    Thanks again!
