  I don’t know which code you refer to. I do know we cannot use JavaScript, iframes or advertising/affiliate codes.

  To display code here, you need to enclose it in backticks (see the note on allowed markup). This is what you tried to write:
  <a href>
  Your question is too vague: link to or point to a post or page where such a link isn’t working.

  That post contains only one link (to an IMDB page), and the link is working.
  If you mean you tried to use some code and it disappeared, then the code was wrong. The code for a text link is this:
  <a href="URL HERE">TEXT HERE</a>
  Or this, if you want it to open in a new browser window or tab:
  <a href="URL HERE" target="_blank">TEXT HERE</a>
