Collaboration between multiple bloggers

I would like to have something like a notepad or to-do list for other people contributing to my blog to be able to see and work on that. Anyone else think this would be a good idea?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This comment is being posted as a “just in case you don’t know it” type of comment.

You can use either toodledoo or rememberthemilk to create online to-do lists and if you choose to you can post the links to them on your blog so your readers can view your to-do lists. There are other online to-do lists as well but IMO those are the best of those I have tested and reviewed.

There is also a Google calendar workaround we can use here at wordpress.com and you can find it here http://helensnerdyblog.wordpress.com/2007/11/27/how-to-add-a-google-calendar-to-your-wordpresscom-blog-using-the-rss-widget/

This is a great idea, actually. I would consider as in the right place though!

I’m sorry but I don’t understand what that means. Could you please expand?

There are multiple online to-do lists available free of charge and once you set one up at for example rememberthemilk you can receive reminders via email, SMS, and instant messenger (AIM, Gadu-Gadu, Google Talk, ICQ, Jabber, MSN, Skype and Yahoo! are all supported). Remember The Milk is also a collaboration tool – once your calendar is set up right & your tasks laid out, you can share & publish your tasks & schedule to a group or anyone in your contact list. You can view your tasks on web enabled mobile devices and it’s
    also geo-tag enabled.

Toodledo has the same capacity and is now available as a native application on iPhones. You can use it as a standalone application, or you can have it seamlessly synchronized with Toodledo.com, so you will always have access to your important tasks, even when you don’t have an internet connection. You can easily work with other people on shared projects with Toodledo’s collaboration tools. A permission system allows you to set exactly who has the ability to read, add and edit your tasks.

I’m just not seeing why wordpress.com would be inclined to re-invent that which already exists and is available free of charge to all of us members now.

I’m in agreement with the original poster.

It would be nice to have a private category of posts that would only show up in an administrative widget that could be added to the admin page. Something like a P2 format, where each contributor could just quickly add something our readers would NEVER see that thread.

We accomplish this now by having two blogs a private and public one, but the private one is solely for collaboration–one of us lives in CA, one in UT, and I live in IN

In summary, a QuickPost module for the admin page that would only be viewable on the admin page would be a great addition for team/collaboration blogs.

    Thanks

I was just thinking about collabos between bloggers earlier, with some adjustments and tightened privacy it would be do-able, contributors can be very helpful (the right ones about the right content) keep us posted as this sounds interesting.
