Collapsing Articles

  I would like to show only the first few lines of each article and then give the reader the option to click on a button to read the rest of the article. Anybody know how to do that?

  Have you tried the More Tag? https://en.support.wordpress.com/more-tag/

  I don’t know exactly how the Pilcrow theme works with it, but give it a try

  Also, the Pilcrow theme you are using is retired so it’s unlikely to get support for it. I would recommend to you to choose another theme, since a retired theme can easily not work well with future versions of WordPress.com.
