Collecting email addresses

  I’m starting a blog based on a book I hope to publish but for which I need a platform. How do I collect and then access email addresses from those who contact my blog? Please answer in very simple language. Thanks.

  I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

  What exactly do you need those email addresses for? You can let people subscribe to your site via email or create an email newsletter. If that’s what you’re looking for, we have more information here:
