Hello @danafaithphotography,
Yes, you can. With your plan, you can Add Custom CSS to customize the fonts.
If you can tell us which texts (page title, blog title, blog body texts, etc) you wanted to change the color, we may be able to help you with the code.
Regards,

Every theme has a detailed theme description page. This one is at https://wordpress.com/theme/altofocus and that’s where set up instructions for it, and the live demo site link is found.
If you want to make any font changes to blog post or page titles or widget titles or menu titles then you need the premium upgrade bundle or a business plan that includes the custom design upgrade in it.
See here for details on purchasing an annually renewable Premium or Business plan https://wordpress.com/pricing/ that contains a custom design upgrade required for CSS editing.

Note 2: You can also post there prior to purchasing an upgrade to get an answer to whether or not what you want to do can be accomplished via CSS editing.

Thank you, @timethief. :)
@danafaithphotography I see that you use a custom domain (https://danafaithphotography.com/), may I know which WordPress.com plan you have?
If you have a Business plan, you will have this option for Colors and Backgrounds in your website’s Customizer – http://prntscr.com/gyy4df You will be able to change the text colors by clicking on that orange circle and selecting a new color.
If you have a Premium plan, you can only change the colors by Adding Custom CSS. Let me know if this is what you have, I can try to get the codes for you. :)
If you have other plans other than these two, am afraid, you’ll have to stick to the orange color or try the palettes available.

staff-imahappyengineer: The custom colours are available in WordPress.com Premium, as well as Business. :)
@danafaithphotography: As you have the WordPress.com Premium plan, you can navigate to the Colours & Backgrounds panel of the WordPress.com Customizer. From there, select the Palettes button that overlays the Background tab and then change the orange circle, as per Rose’s screenshot.
If you’d like to make further changes to your site’s colour scheme using custom CSS then we can help with that. :) Feel free to reply directly to this post or contact us via our form here (as a Premium owner you can access prioritised live chat support via that form).
