Color of Blog title

  Good morning – A few times a year I change the background color of the blog and then the title to match. I’ve done it numerous times, but this time I changed the background color successfully and went looking for the spot to change the title color and can’t find it. Please, please tell me I just can’t find it and I don’t need to write code in order to do it. Thank you very much.

  I’m having exactly the same problem. WordPress has changed things up again, and the page I’m accustomed to designing my header from can’t be found. A toggle to change the header text color is simply not to be found under any of the tabs on the new ‘Customize’ sidebar. I wasted more than an hour trying everything I could to find a toggle to change the text color. When I searched the help pages for the information and followed their directions, the toggle, or ‘button’ for header text was missing where support indicated I should find it. WordPress needs to fix this ASAP as my header text is the wrong color for my new photo!

  Thank you for your reply. I’m sorry you are having the same issue but at least it helps to know I’m not alone. I changed my header photo to a winter scene, changed the background and wanted to match it up with the header text color but for the life of me can’t find a way to do it. Here’s hoping the WordPress Happiness Engineers will come forth with a solution.

  This gentleman was so kind as to offer a solution so I want to share with you:

  Hi there! As you’ve noticed, our new Customizer doesn’t offer that option yet. You can still change this in our old WP-Admin interface by pasting /wp-admin/themes.php?page=custom-header after your blogs URL. So in your case, that would be:

  http:// Name of blog .wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=custom-header

  You should see a “Text Color” option near the bottom of that page. I hope that helps!

  Thank you very much for that fix! I can’t tell you how much time I’ve spent over the last several days trying to find a way back to that tried and true page I’ve used to adjust my header over the past several years. The address worked like a charm and my header text is now read-able. Thank you, and Happy New Year!
