Coloring categories

    I want my list of categories on the sidebar to follow a specific order. To do this I have put numbers in front of the category names (01., 02, etc.) and want to hide the numbers. I tried to color the number portion of the text for the categories as white (<font color=“#ffffff”>01.Essays) but apparently one cannot change the default color of the font in Categories. Question: Is there a way to hide a portion of the text in a ‘category’?

    Since your blog is apparently private, I can’t take a look, but why not just create your own categories widget using a text widget. Then you can change the colors as you see fit. You can even use the visual editor to do it and then switch to the HTML tab when done, copy and paste the content into the text widget and you are done.
