  One last question. How do I change the grey bodytext to black as well as in the comment box.

  Add all the CSS you see in this link.

  Each rule is for a different browser.

  webkit is for Chrome and Safari.
  moz for Firefox
  ms for Internet Explorer.

  This way, you have got almost all the browsers covered.

  There’s some padding around the recent entries list which can be removed using the following CSS :

  .widget_recent_entries ul li a {
  padding: 0;
  }
