Columnist theme menu help

  I really like the way http://hovercraftdoggy.com/ has added pinterest, facebook, twitter and google+ menu items at the top of their page and designed them to click through straight to the relevant page. How do I do this and add in the icons into them menu item?

  To create external links you need to create a custom menu. Details here:
