Columnist Theme – Transparent Header
-
i’m trying to replicate the idea behind the transparent header and images showing FB/Twitter/G+ on hovercraftdoggy.com/
this seems to work: #main: after {background-color: transparent;}
but how do I make it appear on the tops of individual posts. indeed how do I make sure it appears in all circumstances where menus are shown
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I checked one of the posts at the hovercraftdoggy.com site, and I see that the menu doesn’t appear on posts.
http://hovercraftdoggy.com/2013/06/24/we-are-looking-for-a-new-place/I see the same thing for posts on the demo site for The Columnist theme:
http://thecolumnistdemo.wordpress.com/2012/06/20/hello-world/The WordPress.com custom CSS editor offers the option to change the design of things that already appear on the page, if the theme doesn’t display a menu on posts, then there is not a way to add one using CSS only.
One possible workaround I can think of would be to add a footer widget with social media icons in it so they appear at the bottom of posts. Would does that work? I know that a lot of people like using the About.me Widget for the icons. Here is a related help page in case you’re interested:
