Columns
-
Hi,
We are using the theme called Visual – https://wordpress.com/themes/visual/ – for our web-site. The theme has 3 columns as its preset, but we wish to change this to 2 columns. Is that possible to do, for someone who is not an expert? We have asked for help before, and recieved this css-code:
.front .masonry .hentry {
width: 48%;
}But it doesn’t work – at least not when I paste it into the css-window in the custom design mode. Is it supposed to go somewhere else?
Kind regards

Hi Martin,
To customize your theme with CSS, you can paste CSS code in your site’s Customizer. To do that, go to your My Sites page and click the Customize link under the blog’s title. In the Customizer, open the CSS section and in the CSS editor there, you can paste in your CSS code.
If that code isn’t working for you, you may need to do more investigating or hire a designer to help you find the right CSS code. (WordPress.com support staff can help with basic CSS questions, but we’re not able to do more advanced theme customizations and design.) If you’d like to learn more, we have tips for getting started with CSS here:
If you have CSS questions, you can also ask for more help and guidance in the CSS Customization forum:

I researched how the columns are set up in the Visual theme and replied at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/columns-11?replies=4#post-2065224
