.com domain prices?

  I’m trying to register a .com address, which I’d done previously with a former website through WordPress. That cost me about £15 per year or thereabouts.
  How come then, that it now seems to only be possible by buying a ‘plan’ for £85 per year? I don’t need a ‘plan’, just the domain…

  Hi there,

  New WordPress.com accounts can only add a domain as part of a plan. Older accounts still have the ability to buy a domain without a plan, but this account was created only 4 days ago, so it’s not possible for this account.
