.com Domain transfer – WordPress to Photoshelter
-
Hello, I am trying to transfer my .com to a different website. I am currently using WordPress but would like to move over to PhotoShelter. I have begun setting up my site on PhotoShelter and have now come to the transfer of my domain and I’m not entirely sure I know what I’m doing.
So far I have added a new CNAME into my WordPress Domain Management
CNAME http://www.greyhairandglasses.com alias of custom.photoshelter.com.
And then changed the settings in PhotoShelter to:
Website Address
My Website Address
3 character minimum; letters, numbers and dashes only
http://greyhairandglasses.photoshelter.comCustom Domain (CNAME)
You may use your own domain with your PhotoShelter website by setting up a CNAME. Learn more.
If you have not set up a CNAME, leave this field blank.http://www.greyhairandglasses.com
Site Name
Grey Hair and Glasses

Is it really that simple? And does it not matter that I still have the original CNAME in the domain management list even though it points to WordPress still? I realise it can take a day or two for the changes to take effect, however I don’t really want to have to wait for 2 days to see if I’m right or not if I could get an answer via this.
Regards,
Tom

OK, so what I have done has worked for the most part. The only issue is I have to have http://www.greyhairandglasses.com entered, greyhairandglasses.com goes to my WordPress site, not my PhotoShelter site. This I have no idea how to fix.
