.com theme download – but only free themes

  Hi,
  i searched hours for a nice theme for me.
  i´ll tried something with free themes. But on every theme i´ll missed something key feature for me. then i found one… but!

  i want this one but can´t download it for my selhosted site. https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/purpose/
  this one – none premium – can be downloaded.

  Is this why premium? So please tell me why.

  forgot the free theme which i can manually download and test it.

  thx. but…
  i have an .org and .com account. i used .org for building my page on my own domain. but i wann try something bigger. so i searched for new themes. and i found the theme https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/purpose/
  and yes, dyad is downloadable from .com.
  im not sure if i understand you.

  i only read everywhere this is not possible. and then i read some guides how it works ?!

  in my case especially for: https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/purpose/

  Hi @becks03, it is indeed a Premium theme, which can’t just be downloaded like a free theme can. You would need to buy it from the theme designer:
  http://organicthemes.com/theme/purpose-theme/
