.com to .org?
-
Hey, I own a wordpress.com site, TechTaboo.com. When I created the site, I didn’t know there was a difference between WordPress.com and .org. I need to be able to directly edit the PHP code and run ads on the site. I currently have a deluxe hosting plan with GoDaddy, but the .com site is hosted by WordPress, and the domain was purchased at WordPress.com as well. I need to run a WordPress.org site. I don’t care about the old site, I just want to keep the domain name. While I’m an IT professional, I severely lack experience with web design or hosting. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you’ve registered your domain through WordPress.com and now want it to point to a blog or website hosted elsewhere then you can do this by updating the nameservers. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#update-nameservers

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate. Please see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/
