.Com Vs .Org
-
Hi,
I currently have a blog on wp.com and would like to upload,install, and activate a theme purchased/downloaded onto my computer. The problem is, I don’t see the option of uploading the theme in Appearance>Theme or anywhere for that matter.
Now my question is;
Do I need to upgrade to pro in order to be able to upload,install and activate a theme I have on my computer? Or is the only way to do that is via WP.org and finding a host myself?I want to thank the WP community in advance, your attention and effort is appreciated.

Upgrading to pro—or purchasing the value bundle for a single WordPress.com blog—gives you several of the paid upgrades at a discounted price, rather than purchasing each one separately.
WordPress.com doesn’t allow uploading custom themes, so if you need that functionality, you’ll need a self-hosted (WordPress.org) blog.

I hope this helps! :)
