Combination of tags for URLs
-
Hi,
I am able to get the URLs for given tag name using “http://del.icio.us/rss/tag/tag:givenname”
Is there anyway I can pass multiple tag names to fetch the URLs.
Ex: if I am looking for URLs matches sports & news tags.
Can I get the URLs which match both tags sports & news instead of querying URLs for sports and news separately?

At this point in time I do not know of any way to directly achieve what you want to achieve in one feel swoop. And I have concerns that if such a “tool” existed then it could be used by spammers to hit the url’s of all blogs in wordpress.com with category tags for news and sports.
Can I get the URLs which match both tags sports & news instead of querying URLs for sports and news separately?
This is what I do know.
(1) I do know that you can use the wordpress.com tag pages to search by categories. here’s an example and note that you simply change the last word/category/tag
http://wordpress.com/tags/sports
http://wordpress.com/tags/news(2) I also know you can use Google blog search in this format to achieve the same ends
sports site:wordpress.com
news site:wordpress.com(3) Please note that “sports” and “news” are very general categories. Perhaps using specific sports terms like “soccer” and a geograhpic location like “UK” combined with either news or sports would be more effective in producing the results you want.
(4) Please read this reference for more help http://wordpress.com/blog/2007/08/06/categories-and-news-departments/

(5) On this forum we only deal with specific questions pertaining to wordpress.com hosted blogs. delicious is only one of many social networks encompassing bloggers from many blog hosts. Perhaps posting to their support forum will help you get information specific to delicious member’s blogs in sports and news categories.
Best wishes :)
