Hi
I seem to have 2 account for wordpress. one is with Ventraip and i access my URL quickpeptalk.com.au, but on the wordpress account my URL is peptelkperformance.wordpress.com.
I want to create my page on wordpress and not ventraip and but would like domain address to quickpeptalk.com.au. how can I do this?
-
Hello @alenush6! I’ll be happy to help you with this.
I noticed that the site peptalkperformance.wordpress.com was deleted by the authors. If you deleted it by mistake and would like to recover it, you can follow this guide:
https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/#restore-a-deleted-site
Just a heads-up: it’s only possible to restore a deleted site within 30 days of deletion.
Now, if I understand correctly, you’d like to use your domain quickpeptalk.com.au, which is registered with VentraIP, with a WordPress.com site like peptalkperformance.wordpress.com, is that right? Please feel free to let me know if I’ve misunderstood anything.
If that’s the case, you can absolutely do that by connecting your domain to your WordPress.com site by following this guide:
https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/
I also want to mention that in order to connect your domain and use it as the primary address for your WordPress.com site, a paid plan is required. You can check out our available plans here:
https://wordpress.com/pricing/
Please feel free to share more details about what you’d like to achieve, and we’ll be happy to guide you through the best next steps!

Hi
Thank you so much for your quick response, I have now resorted my site. I can see how to merge the two domains. But I pay for Wrodpress through VentraIP?
BTW well done for understanding the gibberish I wrote, I was very frustration :)

You’re very welcome @alenush6! I completely understand how frustrating these things can be, but you’re not alone — we’re here to help 🙂
I can see that you’ve successfully restored your WordPress.com site at peptalkperformance.wordpress.com, which is great news.
As for your domain, quickpeptalk.com.au, it’s currently pointing to a self-hosted WordPress.org site hosted with Synergy Wholesale. If you’re curious about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, this guide explains them well:
https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
If I understood correctly, you’re hoping to move your self-hosted site to WordPress.com, right? If so, we’ve got a great option. You can request a free site migration, and our team will move everything for you without affecting your live site. Plus, you’ll get 50% off your first year on the Business plan:

Once the migration is complete, we can help you point your domain quickpeptalk.com.au, to your new WordPress.com site, so you’ll be able to enjoy all the features and benefits we offer.
Please let me know if that’s what you’d like to achieve or if you have something different in mind. I’m here and happy to help! -
Hi
So if I merge the domain and pay, does this mean you are also hosting my website, so I will not have to pay for Ventraip?
-
Great question! If you decide to move your website to WordPress.com, you won’t need to continue paying VentraIP for hosting—only one hosting provider is needed to host your website at a time.
I hope this clears things up. If you need any further clarification or help with moving your domain and website to WordPress.com, feel free to reach out.
-
That is perfect, can we please arrange to have it merged together I am happy to forward.

First, I want to clarify that since you’re currently using WordPress.org, transitioning your website to WordPress.com won’t technically be a “merge,” as these are two different services.
To get started, you can easily request a free migration here: https://wordpress.com/support/request-a-free-migration/.

Once we complete the migration, we’ll be here to guide you through connecting your domain so your new site gets up and running without a hitch.
Regarding your email, you can absolutely continue using any email service you currently have. And if you’re interested in exploring new options, here are some great email solutions that might fit your needs https://wordpress.com/support/add-email/. If you meant something else or have more questions, feel free to let me know—I’m happy to assist!
