Combine multiple accounts into one?

I have three blogs, all under different usernames/passwords. I just realized today that I could run them all from one account. Is there a way to combine these into one account? Two of the three have content I want to keep; the third is new and hasn’t been started yet, so I suppose I could delete it and recreate it, but I worry if I do that, WP won’t let me re-used the name I gave it (e.g. blogname.wordpress.com).

    Thanks.

    Rob

Let’s start with this. The pagerank, authority and the positioning of the URLs in search page results belongs to each individual blog. yes you can import content from one blog into another and yes you can delete the blog it was originally in. Doing that means all the content must be re-indexed by search engines and start over again from ZERO.

The next thing to be mindful of is that after you delete the original post those deleted pages will still appear in search engines for at least 3 – 6 months and when clicked on they will be broken links so the visitors will experience a 404 (page not found) error.

To export and import. If you already own the blog, please follow these steps:

Log into the old blog, go to Tools → Export, and download the XML (WXR) file to your computer.
In the new blog, go to Tools → Import → WordPress, and upload the file you downloaded in step 1. After you upload the file, you can choose the option to Download & import file attachments if you want to move your media files.

    WP won’t let me re-used the name I gave it (e.g. blogname.wordpress.com).

When a blog URL is deleted it’s gone forever and cannot be recycled and reused by anyone.

Now let’s peel back another layer. When we register a username account here the email address we provide becomes our unique identifier. When we are logged into WordPress.com and register a blog it’s registered to that username account we are logged in under and to the email address which is our unique identifier. We can register as many blogs as we wish and provided we are using the same username account then all the blogs will be registered under it and the associated email account. We can change our “display name” but that display name will appear on all blogs registered under the same username account.

To combine blogs under different username accounts you must the other username account as an official user of the blog, and designate them (ie. you) as an Admin. Then you transfer the blog to the new username account using this process. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
