Combine sites

  Hi,

  Looking for some guidence on combining mysite which is showing twice under My Sites in WordPress.com?

  Both sites have the same name after changing host but one shows unreachable. Both management options show my current site except stats are broken both links and I keep getting a message that my site is down.

  I would just delete one of them but then I will lose my historic stats?

  Hi there,

  The hosting change could have caused what’s called a Jetpack Identity Crisis, where your site’s data ends up being connected to the wrong site ID on WordPress.com’s end.

  Thanks appreciate the advise as using the baked in help advised that they couldn’t help due to the differences of wordpress.org and wordpress.com

  Off to give that a bash :)

  This support option is for “Paid” accounts only. If you have a “Free” account then you have to dig through the FAQ.

  I will post my solution when found but open to any advice on successful approach for Free plans.

  This issue can only be solved for you by Jetpack staff. This isn’t something you can fix on your own.

  If you’re not able to submit the contact form, post in the Jetpack forums instead, and the Jetpack team will then be able to advise you on next steps.

  Scratch that. I found your email support ticket, and I’ve forwarded that to the Jetpack team. Someone should reply to you there as soon as that reaches the top of their queue.
