Combining Blogs
-
Hey, so I have two blogs under the same user but with different http// addresses. I’d like to make it so they can either be combined into one blog or if there is any way to make it so that whatever changes I make to one blog with apply to the other as well. It is possible to sync your blogs? Please help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It’s not possible to synch your blogs. You can Import one into the other easily enough, but then you’ve got one “dead” blog. The best solution is to set that as Private.
I’m not entirely sure what you want: do you want ONE blog? Or do you want two blogs that have the same features and themes and so on? The solution above applies if you want One blog. If the second is the case, you’ve just got to set each blog separately. If you’re posting the same content to both blogs, you’re shooting yourself in the foot. No, in the face. Because search engines see duplicated content and downgrade both the blogs severely, classing them as spammers.

I actually just want one blog. See what happened was I created a blog and made the domain name “nutrition”. I set everything up for “nutrition” (which took forever b/c this is my first time blogging… thank heaven for support pages lol). Then I realized that I wanted the domain name to be “fitness” instead of “nutrition” and had to create a new page to do so. So now I have two blogs when I only want one, but the blog I want to keep is the “fitness” blog and it doesn’t have any information on it.
I want to be able to transfer the information from the “nutrition” blog to the “fitness” and then get rid of the “nutrition” blog.
Also What’s a “dead” blog because that does not sound like fun.
Thank you for your help!

Hello there,
Instructions for exporting content out of a wordpress.com blog and into another wordpress.com blog are found here. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/ and here http://en.support.wordpress.com/blogroll/import-export-links/As raincoaster points out the blog you export the contents out of will then have duplicate content which is a no no when it comes to Google so the way to deal with that is to make the blog “private” after the export is accomplished.
