Combining galleries within a single project in a portfolio with Harmonic theme

  When adding images from the media library to a project for the project gallery on separate occasions a new gallery is created rather than just adding images to the first created gallery. When clicking on the thumbnail in a gallery I only get the enlarged images in each separate gallery for an incomplete slide show of all images in the project. How do I add new separately created galleries to a project into the original gallery for just one gallery within a project so I get the full project slide show when clicking on any image ? Thank you.

  How do I add new separately created galleries to a project into the original gallery for just one gallery within a project so I get the full project slide show when clicking on any image ?

  I am not entirely sure what you mean. I am wondering if you are trying to merge more than one gallery in order to create a larger gallery. This isn’t possible.

  However, you can add new images to the original gallery, without creating a secondary gallery. Is this what you’re hoping to accomplish.

  If you could more clearly describe what you’re hoping to do — including links to posts/pages/galleries/images/etc will be very helpful.

  Yes, I am trying to add new images to the original gallery, without creating a secondary gallery. Here is a link to a project that has several galleries where I wish to have only one with all images. There are currently three separate galleries because I added the images in three batches and I did not see an option to just add the followup images to an existing gallery in the project. Thank you for your rapid response.

  Hi again!

  No problem. I can help with these steps.

  If you want to add more images to an existing gallery:

  1. Open you post in the editor (or simply click below):

  2. Click ONCE on any image in the existing gallery. When you do, a little pencil icon will appear. Click that.
  3. Now, in the Gallery Editor, you’ll select Add to Gallery. You’ll find that here:

  4. Once you do that, you can choose to upload new images, or click the Media Library tab. If you choose the Media Library tab, you can select any images you want to add. Click the Add to Gallery Button.
  5. If you’d like, when you’re in the Gallery Editor page, you can drag and drop the images into any order you want them to appear.
  6. Make sure to click Save.
