Combining multiple blogs into one
-
We currently have five blogs on wordpress and are wondering if there is a way to combine them all into one “Master” blog. In doing so we wouldn’t want to lose the distinct elements each one has. I have experimented (for example) with creating new pages on the “Master” blog but that doesn’t seem to work. I was hoping there was some tpye of scenario that I could post multiple times, let’s say to “sub-blog #1” and keep those posts together. For example… If I post to sub-blog 1 today and tommorow I post to sub-blog 4, then the post to #4 will show on my Master blog right before the post I did on #1 yesterday. In other words I would like to be able to keep all the information with it’s respective Sub-Blog in chronological order, while having everything connected to the Master Blog. Is there a way to do accomplish this in one blog?
ThanksDavid

Are you hosted here at wordpress.COM? If so, please provide a link to your blog. And take a look at this https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/please-read-me-first-before-posting?replies=1 as it sounds like you may be self-hosted and, therefore, in the wrong forum.

There is no way to do exactly what you want at WordPress.COM, but it is possible with an independent install of WordPress if you’ve got good technical help.
What you CAN do is simply combine all the blogs in one blog and use categories to distinguish between them. You can make tabbed header links to the different categories, just don’t call them Category I, Category II, call them Blogname 1, Blogname 2, etc. And be sure to choose a theme that displays full results in the category pages, rather than just snippets as most do. By combining those two things you should be able to spoof what you want.

Thanks for the reply. I was considering something like you mentioned but wanted to see if there were any other possibilities.
