Combining two blogs
-
I have both deadairdennis.com/blog and a deadairdennis.wordpress.com blog. (Honestly, not sure how I did this, it occurred when I tried to integrate my wordpress.com blog with my website.) I have already exported the old posts from the wp dot com and imported them into the new dot com slash blog, how can I combine them into only one?
Do I have to delete the old wp dot com? Because I’m also having trouble finding the rss feed for the dot com slash blog.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You have a blog at deadairdennis.wordpress.com, which is hosted here at WordPress.com. You also have a site deadairdennis.com/blog which is hosted elsewhere.
In essence, you have two completely unrelated sites that just share certain elements of the web address.
If you’ve imported the contents of your WordPress.com blog into the other one, then what I’d recommend is that you set deadairdennis.wordpress.com to be private in your Dashboard under Settings > Reading. That way the address will be available to you in the future should you decide you want a site here on WordPress.com, but it won’t be available for anyone else to view unless you make it public again in the future.
Note that if you delete your WordPress.com site entirely, you will not be able to use deadairdennis.wordpress.com again in the future.

I’m well aware that if I delete something I will no longer have access to it, that is not a concern of mine. What I have is two blogs, two administrators, and two authors that I don’t need. I just need one blog where I can post to, will provide me a proper RSS feed URL, and preferably be deadairdennis dot com slash blog.
The deadairdennis dot com slash blog is set as a page/tab on my website, but isn’t providing me an RSS URL that works (or I can’t figure out what it is) for something else. deadairdennis dot WordPress dot com slash feed works for an RSS but doesn’t show the new posts I make on slash blog, unless I write it there as well.
What I want is just one blog with a valid RSS feed and URL that is deadairdennis.com/blog. What would you recommend as being the best option to accomplish that?

The ONLY method is to export your contents from the WordPress.com blog and import them into the WordPress.org blog. Then set the WP.com blog to Private and away you go.

I’ve already done that, which I said in my first post. That still does not fix the problem of having two of everything and not giving me a proper RSS feed URL.

If your WordPress.org blog does not give you a proper RSS feed, then we cannot help you with that: it’s a WordPress.ORG problem that can be dealt with in their forums. We cannot help you with that blog at all.

Hi again,
You can find your feed by looking at the sourcecode for your blog.
In this case, it looks like your feed is located at:
It looks like you have already set deadairdennis.wordpress.com to private so you don’t need to worry about that. From here you should only have the one blog to maintain, and readers will no longer be able to see your blog hosted with us. You will if you’re logged in under your WordPress.com account, but if you log out or view the site from a Chrome incognito window you’ll see that it is no longer available.
