Combining "WordPress.com Premium" and "Domain-Mapping" upgrades?

    If one of the blogs that I manage already has a currently-active “Domain-Mapping” upgrade, and I now wish to also add the “WordPress.com Premium” upgrade (which includes “Domain-Mapping” as part of the bundle), what are my options?

    Does the “Premium” upgrade simply add an additional year to the current expiration date of the existing “Domain-Mapping” upgrade?

    Or do both “Domain-Mapping” upgrades somehow exist simultaneously, with the expiration date of the original one unchanged, and the new one expiring a full year from the purchase date of the “Premium” upgrade?

    If the latter is the case, can the original “Domain-Mapping” upgrade (with whatever lifetime is left on it) be transferred to another blog that I manage?
