Comet theme

    RT sidebar on Comet theme has mysterious black dots appearing by title of certain widgets. Appeared a few days ago. LT sidebar is fine. Any way to remove these dots, not a fan of them. Thx

    I don’t see what you’re describing in Firefox, can you quickly run through the browser issues steps to see if that fixes it. You might also try a different browser or computer to see if they display the same issues, disabling browser add-ons and/or javascript can sometimes identify the problem too.

    If none of that helps could you provide a screenshot so we can look in to the issue further.

    Wow very weird. I’m using Safari on a Mac, iPad and iPhone ALL showing the mysterious black dot that appeared out of no where three days ago. I logged on to a PC and the black dots are no where to be seen. I did take a screen shot, not sure how to send it to you. Strange these dots show on my gizmos but not on PC. Grateful because they are quite an eyesore. Let me know if you want me to send screen shot so you know I’m not crazy. I imagine other users might encounter same problem at some point, unless I’m special.

    I see it when I check in Opera and Safari so no need to provide screenshots (though for future reference you can upload images to your media library and copy the URL here).

    On closer inspection I think the problem might be an unclosed HTML element in your first sidebar text widget. If you copy the entire contents of your text widget into a reply here in between code tags we can help you figure it out.

  • I think hallluke is on the right track with his theory.

    It looks like you have an extra closing div tag in your “connect with me” widget in the right sidebar, resulting in some unbalanced tags. You also have an extra pair of div tags, which shouldn’t cause any issues, but is unnecessary.

    Try changing this:

    <div align="center"><div>

    to this:

    <div align="center">

    and at the end, change this:

    </div></div></div>

    to this:

    </div>

    Let us know how it goes.

    Thank you, thank you! I shall remember this forever! What a difference a <div> makes. You guys are great thanks a bunch.

  • Glad that did the trick!
