Comicpress plugin
-
Many people trying to make it into the comic world start with a free online comic before they are discovered and published. Since I am familiar with wordpress and would like to keep all my sites together on one account, I would like to create a free online comic on wordpress. I would need the comicpress plug-in, but I don’t think I can add it to a free account?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
You are right. There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on any free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/If you want FTP access and to install plugins or third party themes into a site then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install. WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, conduct ecommerce and edit the database. Learn about the differences here. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Comic Strips on WordPress.com https://en.support.wordpress.com/comics/ The Panel theme on WordPress.com has some special features specifically geared towards publishing a webcomic.
-
The blog I need help with is not the one stated above. I’m creating a new one for free, just for my comics.

What relevant is exactly what the URL of the blog you refer to is because we have to determine where it is hosted. We provide support only for WordPress.COM hosted blogs here.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you are referring to a WordPress.ORG software installs and posting to the wrong support forum, and if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

Thanks for reply. Seems like too much hassle, and I’m not paid for my comics, so free is really the only option I have right now. My comic artist friend really recommended comicpress, but I guess I’ll have to find another free website that specializes in comics.
-
sorry, the other response was in addition to my first question, I hadn’t realized someone had responded so fast to my post
-
Did you read what I posted above about the Panel theme? If you did and it does not suit you there is no more help that I can provide.
-
I don’t know why it says up top that the blog I need help with is exceptionallynatural.com, since I didn’t type that. The computer just inserted that there.
-
Sorry, I’m really slow when it comes to technology. Thank you, I’m finally starting to understand what you’re saying. I’ll try the panel theme first. My first website is hosted and I pay for it, but I don’t know if I can extend that hosting to another website. Anyhow, not in a super hurry so I’ll figure this out and learn from it.

Don not worry about that. We require a URL every time a blogger posts here because the answers to the same WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG questions can different answers and when is not provided the software automatically delivers.
