Coming in from the cold: migrating a self-hosted WP site to wordpress.com?
-
Hi, forums!
I have a WordPress site running WordPress 4.4.5, with a lightly-customized Lotus theme. The site is currently on its own AWS EC2 box, and I have nightly backups of the filesystem, database dumps, and I have full admin access to the site.
I’d _like_ to migrate this site to wordpress.com. I’ve found some good tutorials for ‘moving from wordpress.com to self-hosting’, but I haven’t found any good instructions for going the other way.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
My goal is to reduce the maintenance burden by getting rid of the AWS EC2 stuff. The site is a low-traffic corporate site, so I really don’t need any of the advantages of self-hosting.
Thanks very much for any pointers or links you can provide!
