This user http://samanthalal.wordpress.com/ is posting bullying and harassing comments on my blog elegantrebelbeauty.wordpress.com and sdelinephotos.wordpress.com I do not approve the comments but I want this ti stop because I keep getting email notifications and can see the comments. If you are able to contact this user and ask that she cease contact, I would really appreciate it. It is making me not want to login to wordpress and I am dreading each new comment instead of being excited about them.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I thought this was going to a support email, not posting publicly. I do not want anyone to ask this user to stop unless they are wordpress staff. I am sorry if this is not the place for this, I did not want to mention someone publicly. I am looking into deleting it but don’t know how.

Hello there,
Welcome cyberspace where you have complete control over which comments you approve and post to your blog. -
If you believe criminal harassment is taking place call the police and hire a lawyer.

Thank you so much. I realize I have complete control of the approved comments, but I still have to see them to unapprove them and my email is being filled with comment notifications because this person is leaving harassing comments. It’s upsetting and making me dread every time I get a comment and I get a feeling of dread whenever I log in to my email. This person created a blog solely for the purpose of trying to harass me- because I had blocked them everywhere else. Is there a way I can remove this from the public forum?

Read these please:
http://en.wordpress.com/abuse/
http://en.wordpress.com/complaints/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/disputes/We cannot block or delete subscribers from public blogs. Everyone on the internet can view and follow any public blog. That is in fact what the public designation means.
You can change your blog visibility to “private” http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/ Please read this about public blogs that become private blogs > Blog Privacy and Subscribers > http://wpcommaven.wordpress.com/2011/09/05/blog-privacy-and-subscribers/
Note that you have complete control over everything that’s posted to your blog via comment moderation
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-moderationYou don’t have to post any comment on your blog. Delete troll posts http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2013/03/27/how-to-starve-a-troll/
and mark only spam as spam. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2013/01/24/mark-only-spam-as-spam/You can use the comments blacklist to send the spam to the spam queue automatically. Enter their email address, their username, and if they included it, their website URL. That will automatically send them to moderation so that their comments do not appear on the blog.
Do note though that if they are determined, they can use a different email address or username to get around that. Also, do not put their IP address in the blacklist. IP addresses are no longer unique, and you might end up blocking legitimate visitors. Also, all they would have to do is go to a wi-fi hot spot, or connect via a different ISP and they could get around that.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-blacklistOne other thing I would suggest is to set your blog so that first time commenters are held in moderation till approved, then from that point forward they will not need approval. Settings > Discussion. The next step beyond that is to set it so that all comments are held in moderation until approved. That way you are in control, and they might just get tired and go elsewhere after a while.
Is there a way I can remove this from the public forum?
I tagged this thread for a Staff response. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

Thank you, this is very helpful. My comments are set to be moderated first, I am just sick and tired or receiving all these comment notifications to my approval in my email from this person. I do not want to have to see her comments every time I get a comment moderation email. It’s making me not want to log in to my email. I just wish there was a way to get her to stop trying to comment. If there is a way to edit my original post so I can remove the URL containing her blog? I don’t wish to stop to her level and make her url public. I think the comment blacklist is a great idea, I clicked that link and it explained what to do, but there was nowhere to enter the content to be blacklisted.

Yes and I tagged this thread so Staff will remove it.
but there was nowhere to enter the content to be blacklisted.
You do not enter content.
Enter their email address, their username, and if they included it, their website URL. That will automatically send them to moderation so that their comments do not appear on the blog.

Black list is at
Dashboard >> Settings >> Discussion >> Page down a bit >> remember to save changes

Yes, sorry, that’s what I meant. There was no place for me to enter the email address or anything. I will check again. There seems to be no area where I can enter anything.

Comment Blacklist
When a comment contains any of these words in its content, name, URL, e-mail, or IP, it will be marked as spam. One word or IP per line. It will match inside words, so “press” will match “WordPress”.[ big space to type in these:
Enter their email address, their username, and if they included it, their website URL. That will automatically send them to moderation so that their comments do not appear on the blog.] -

You’re welcome. I would like to recommend my article to you > Blogger Under Attack http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2013/06/08/blogger-under-attack/

Also, if it is marked as spam, (again, I would prefer it not to go to moderation- it already does and I am sick of my email being bombarded with moderation emails that always end up being comment she is trying to get in), so in the first paragraph it says that content will be marked as spam. Does this mean that now that I have entered the person’s url that any comment she tries to leave will be marked as spam, and as such I won’t an email about it at all? I hope so.

Did you actually read what I post?

It all depends on how determined the troll is.

@TT – do you know if there is a difference between what a person leaving a comment sees when comments are Moderated or if they are Blacklisted?

@elegantrebelbeauty
I would never enter an IP address because for over a decade now ISPs are placing hundreds of us in the same IP block. So if you enter an IP you can end up sending legitimate comments to the spam queue.@TT – do you know if there is a difference between what a person leaving a comment sees when comments are Moderated or if they are Blacklisted?
Not as far as I know. I think they are blissfully unaware. It’s my experience and I have a lot to base this on that trolls give up and move along to find another target they can emotionally trigger.
